My Picks of the Week! (4th February 2014)


Hello, Muses!

Hello, February! As we get prepared for the Winter Olympics starting this Friday and the upcoming Oscar Awards in March, we can celebrate a little early with some great releases. In adult books, the third and final book in Glen Duncan's werewolf  series called By Blood We Live hits bookshelves. If you are looking for erotic romance, you may want to check out the first book in Maya Bank's new Surrender series called Letting Go. If you are a fan of Lora Leigh, celebrate the 29th novel in her Breeds series with her new book Rule Breaker coming out in hardcover.

In Young Adult, I highly recommend Alienated by Melissa Landers which I am currently reading. This also seems to be the week for third books in series, such as Cress (Lunar Chronicles, #3) by: Marissa Meyers and Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3) by: Tahereh Mafi.

In movies, there is a little bit for everyone. Looking for some romance? Check out About Time starring Domhnall Gleeson, Bill Nighy and Rachel McAdams. Looking for a good drama with amazing acting? I highly recommend Dallas Buyers Club starring Academy Award nominees Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto. Looking for an adrenaline rush?  Then Escape Plan starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone might be up your speed.

Whatever you are in the mood for, there is definitely plenty to choose from this week!
